About the Artist - Tim Ellmers

Nestled on top of a mountain in Hendersonville, North Carolina you will find my home and art studio. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina I began my journey as an artist. Leaving for higher education my art took a back seat as I had set goals to become a healthcare professional. Fourteen years went by of college, graduate school and residency training before I realized that there was more to life than being totally focused on advancing my career. While I love and am very humbled in what I do every day to earn a living, changing my focus and beginning to create art again has added an element to my life I have enjoyed. Being able to express myself through art has added immense happiness to my life.
I have always had a passion for the arts and have loved sharing it with others by creating works of art for their homes and workplaces. I consider myself a self-taught artist whose love and interest has been the driving catalyst for further learning and growth beyond that of what I learned in my earlier years.
To learn more about my past experiences, check out my blog post dedicated to my many past art teachers (i.e. Letting Growth be your Catalyst).
"Without great teachers in one's life, there is no telling where one would end up."
Through hard work, I am proud of how far I have come in my development. I hope you will come to enjoy it as much as I do and will take the time to explore my online gallery and blog.
Thank you again for visiting my online studio!
