I work closely with all my clients so that I am able to accomplish exactly what is requested. starting the process is easy. If you are interested in a commissioned piece you can begin by filling out the form on the contact page. At that time, I will review your request and will contact you through the requested method provided. Early communication on expectations will be addressed with the client (i.e. subject matter, size, and color scheme, etc).
I ask my clients to think about the following:
1. Size of the final painting
2. Reference Photos - with good lighting (if you are not sure, send anyway)
3. Time Frame - Expected 1 - 1.5 months from start to finish
I will start by sketching out several proposed compositions for you to choose from. based on the composition you like, a quote for the commission will be sent to the client. once the client agrees on the final commission fees, I will then request a non-refundable 25% deposit before any work can begin.
Once the deposit is made I will add your project to my painting agenda. based on the time of the request, I will alert the client of where on the agenda their project falls. On average, it may take up to a month and a half for a commissioned work to be completed (start to finish). This will allow enough time for drying, and/or re-composition if needed.
A final photo of the completed piece will be emailed for review by the client. If the customer approves, the remaining 75% of the purchase price becomes due before shipment.
Thank you for your patronage!
