Pulled out the old oil paints again. I played around for a while experimenting with my color theory exercises. Boring! So I decided to do a 5-minute apple with only the 3 primary colors (yellow, blue, and red). This was the result. No excuses...
This painting was completed entirely from life. This painting has many subtle brush strokes that are hard to view in the picture below. This is the first in a series that is available on my website.
This painting is very motivational for me. It is the first painting in after 14 years that I picked up a paint brush. Though it looks very rough, it will be used as a visual representation of my growth as an artist.
