Day 4, Apples in Oil; second in a series

In continuing with my personal challenge to paint daily, I again chose something easy to get used to all of this color mixing again. Here are a couple of apples with using only the three primary colors (Yellow, Red, and Blue - some titanium white). These apples were purchased from my local farm stand down the street from my studio. Hendersonville, NC is known for their apples and we sure do have tons of orchards to choose from.

This is the second in a series of apples I am working on. The complexity of the colors works well together. This work was done impressionistically with soft brush strokes.

Cheers, please be sure to follow my page while you were here. Thank you for reading.
