Just for Fun(2): 1 brush, 15 minutes
Another challenge secondary from my previous post. Limited palette and very limited time (to think). I did this several nights ago so just getting around to posting.
We are in the beginning of winter in North Carolina. It is turning out to be a very wet one compared to years past. Being in the western portion of the state makes for beautiful winter scenes. Our home resides on top of Burge Mountain which overlooks the valley of Hendersonville and when it snows the views are spectacular. Winter is the only time one can see the valley well enough given that there are no leaves on the trees. I love to climb to the top of the mountain and take in the views in the evening as the sun hits the snow. Crisp blues, violets, purples, and grays are very pronounced. No matter where you are in the world, the sky lights up like fire during winter.
This painting was completed with only a limited palette which put my blending of color to the test. As in my previous challenge, painting loose is extremely harder than not. Turning off your need for another brush is a hard habit to break.
