Right in my back yard here in North Carolina I have so many parks to choose from if my wife and I ever just want to go on a hike one afternoon or just for the whole day. Dupont and Pisgah forests offer so much in trail walking and visual excitement. This painting was captured from a photograph taken while one of those hikes. The distance trees and the light coming over the forest edge was fun to capture based on what I was seeing in the photograph.
